Almost as large as the stork. It is the typical species that we can see in migration, a flying troop organized in a large ‘V’, a strategy that promotes energy saving. Its scientific name is Grus Grus and it is an onomatopoeic name that refers to its singing.
In migration we can hear its characteristic call sounds that they emit with the throat open and movement of the wings pushing air out.
